Pictures of the Accident

Here are a few pictures of the accident.  We feel that Andrea was being watched over that day.
She was thrown 15 feet landing on her left side.
We are so thankful she was wearing her helmet.

This part of the bumper is what cut her knee open and left a large wound besides shattering the bones and a compound fracture of the femur.

Ok, can you find her shoe in this picture.      Need a hint the shoe is black and white checkered.  Maybe it is a good thing her shoe came off not leaving her pinned between the bike and the bumper.
We may never know for sure.  But we know that she was being watched over that day.  She has no memory of the accident.  We are very grateful for those who were first on the scene and gave her comfort and care until help arrived.

  1. So glad that Andrea pulled out of that accident as she did! Wish her and your entire family all the best and hope and pray that the "vaccuum" will do the trick on her knee! Love, Lance and Jodi Redford

  2. Great to see Andrea out to the football game. Hope she continues to heal and make progress. Probably a good thing that she can't remember the accident, would be aweful to keep reliving that. One day at a time Andrea just like you have been doing! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for a full recovery! Love Aunt Jamy

  3. My goodness!!!! I cannot believe that Andrea actually survived all of this....It is amazing!!! As time goes on, I am humbled at her strength and sunny attitude. I am sure there are quiet moments of sadness at the mountain she is climbing but she seems to gather courage and move forward. Bless you Andrea. You are my hero!!!!
